Customer privacy and merchant boundaries

How one customer identity can connect purchases while each merchant remains inside its own authorization boundary.

Customer identity

A verified customer identity can connect eligible purchases for the customer while merchant authorization remains isolated.

Merchant isolation

A merchant is not entitled to another merchant's orders merely because the same customer has purchased from both businesses.

Customer access

Customer-sensitive records are designed to require verified account or secure order access. Merchant-sensitive records remain behind authenticated merchant scope.

Merchant policies

The merchant may separately process information for the product or service it sells under its own privacy notice and commercial terms.
